Soalan PBD English Tingkatan 1 Unit 2: Fact or fiction?

Halaman ini memaparkan Standard Prestasi DSKP bagi setiap TP, nota ringkas, contoh soalan dan contoh ulasan PBD untuk unit ini. Dalam Jejak TP English, murid menjawab 54 soalan dalam enam hentian, daripada TP1 hingga TP6, dan guru memperoleh cadangan TP secara automatik.

Deskriptor di bawah disalin kata demi kata daripada DSKP KSSM Bahasa Inggeris Tingkatan 1. Setiap hentian dalam permainan dipadankan dengan satu TP.

Nota ringkas Fact or fiction?

Setiap hentian memberi murid satu kad fakta selepas lulus. Ini kad bagi unit ini:

• biographyA biography is a book about a real person's life, written by another person. An autobiography is written by the person about his or her OWN life.
• explorerAn explorer travels to new places to discover things. Example: Ibn Battuta was a famous explorer.
• -ed or irregularRegular verbs: add -ed (enjoy → enjoyed). Irregular verbs change: read → read, see → saw, go → went, have → had. In negatives and questions, use did + the BASE verb: I didn't see. Did you see?
• was / wereI / he / she / it was. You / we / they were. Negative: wasn't / weren't. Question: Was he...? Were they...?
• exhibitionAn exhibition is a public show of art or objects, for example in a museum. Example: The exhibition is open every day except Monday.
• admissionAdmission = the price to enter a place (harga masuk). Free admission means you do not need to pay.
• yesterdayTime words for the past: yesterday, last night, last week, two days ago, in 2010. Listen for them to know the story is in the past.
• sequenceSequencing words: first, then, after that, finally. They show the ORDER of events in a story.
• inspireinspire = make someone want to do something good (memberi inspirasi). Example: Her story inspired many young girls.
• never gave upNever give up = keep trying even when it is difficult. A biography often shows how a person never gave up.
• sequencingUse first, then, after that and finally to put your story in order. Put a comma after them: First, we went to the park.
• past simple storyA past story uses the past simple for the main events: We arrived at nine o'clock. Remember that irregular verbs change: went, saw, had, ate.

   Yesterday shows the past, so we use the past simple. The past of read is read (spelled the same, pronounced like red).

   The negative of the past simple is didn't + BASE verb: didn't see (not didn't saw).

   Questions in the past simple start with Did + subject + base verb: Did you finish...?

Contoh ulasan PBD

Selepas murid bermain, Jejak TP English mencadangkan TP dan ulasan seperti di bawah. Guru menyemak, kemudian menyalin ulasan ke dalam rekod PBD.

TP1: Murid recognises a few basic words on books, professions and the past simple with a lot of support. Suggestion: revise the word cards in Stop 1 with a friend and use pictures to remember the meanings.

TP2: Murid understands key vocabulary on books, professions and the past simple but still makes basic grammar errors. Suggestion: practise short sentences using the target grammar every day.

TP3: Murid reads short texts on books, professions and the past simple and finds specific details accurately. Murid achieves the expected target for this unit.

TP4: Murid understands spoken English on books, professions and the past simple and identifies main ideas and specific details well. Murid is working towards exceeding the target.

TP5: Murid reads longer texts on books, professions and the past simple, makes good inferences and guesses the meaning of unfamiliar words from context. Very good progress.

TP6: Murid uses English accurately and independently on books, professions and the past simple, corrects errors and builds well-organised sentences. Murid exceeds the target and is an exemplary model to others.
