Setiap hentian memberi murid satu kad fakta selepas lulus. Ini kad bagi unit ini:

• supporterA supporter is a person who likes a team and wants it to win. A fan is similar. The team's supporters cheer in the stadium.
• opponentYour opponent is the person or team you play against. The winner beats the loser. A tournament is a big competition with many matches.
• for / sincefor + a period of time: for two years, for three weeks. since + a starting point: since 2002, since Monday, since I was 13. Both go with the present perfect.
• how long?How long have you been a supporter? I've been a supporter for two years. = I've been a supporter since 2024.
• semi-finalA semi-final is the match before the final. The winners go to the final. The losers go home.
• unluckyUnlucky = having bad luck. The opposite is lucky. Example: We were unlucky because the ball hit the post.
• how long?Listen for for + a period (for two years) and since + a start point (since 2020). They both answer How long?
• commentaryA commentary is a live description of a match. Commentators speak quickly and use verbs of movement: run, pass, kick, drop, pick up.
• determinationdetermination = the quality of not giving up. Athletes need determination to keep training even when it is difficult.
• injuryAn injury is damage to the body, for example a broken leg. Many athletes have injuries, but some come back stronger.
• for or sinceCheck: is it a period (for three years) or a starting point (since 2023)? Then write: I've been a supporter for three years / since 2023.
• story of a matchTo tell a story: use the present perfect for experiences up to now, and the past simple for exact times: I've played for years. Yesterday I scored a goal.

Contoh ulasan PBD

Selepas murid bermain, Jejak TP English mencadangkan TP dan ulasan seperti di bawah. Guru menyemak, kemudian menyalin ulasan ke dalam rekod PBD.

TP1: Murid recognises a few basic words on sport, competitions and the present perfect with for and since with a lot of support. Suggestion: revise the word cards in Stop 1 with a friend and use pictures to remember the meanings.

TP2: Murid understands key vocabulary on sport, competitions and the present perfect with for and since but still makes basic grammar errors. Suggestion: practise short sentences using the target grammar every day.

TP3: Murid reads short texts on sport, competitions and the present perfect with for and since and finds specific details accurately. Murid achieves the expected target for this unit.

TP4: Murid understands spoken English on sport, competitions and the present perfect with for and since and identifies main ideas and specific details well. Murid is working towards exceeding the target.

TP5: Murid reads longer texts on sport, competitions and the present perfect with for and since, makes good inferences and guesses the meaning of unfamiliar words from context. Very good progress.

TP6: Murid uses English accurately and independently on sport, competitions and the present perfect with for and since, corrects errors and builds well-organised sentences. Murid exceeds the target and is an exemplary model to others.
